Canterbury Girls High School
Story
Hi Everyone!
We are taking part in Pink Stumps Day to raise awareness of breast cancer for the McGrath Foundation. This charity raises money to place McGrath Breast Care nurses in communities across Australia as well as to increase breast awareness in young people, with a particular emphasis on young women through their national breast education initiative ‘Curve Lurve’.
Today, over 40,000 Australian families have been supported by 110 McGrath Breast Care Nurses nationally. This service is provided free of charge and can be accessed by self-referral.
We will be hosting a Pink Stumps Day on Friday 6th May at Canterbury Girls High School during recess and lunch to raise money for this great cause. There will be a number of events happening including a bake sale, staff versus students cricket game, a sausage sizzle and much more!
In addition to this fundraising day we would be most grateful if you could generously help by donating. Together we can raise more to help the 42 women diagnosed with breast cancer each day.
Thank you for your support!
Activity
McGrath Foundation
The McGrath Foundation raises money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia. Our highly qualified nurses help individuals and their families experiencing breast cancer by providing physical, psychological and emotional support, for free.
From the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment, McGrath Breast Care Nurses are there to help. While over 110,000 families have been supported since 2005, more nurses are needed to meet the growing rate of breast cancer diagnosis in Australia.
With your help, no one misses out on care. Visit www.mcgrathfoundation.com.au to find out more.
